The final piece of Kalen DeBoer's 2026 coaching staff is in place, and it's a big one. On Wednesday, Alabama officially announced the hiring of Adrian Klemm as the new offensive line coach.
NFL Pedigree
Klemm brings a résumé that is heavy on NFL experience. He most recently served on the staff of the New England Patriots and previously coached the offensive line for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"Adrian understands what it takes to play at the highest level because he's coached it and he's played it," DeBoer said in a statement. Klemm was a three-time Super Bowl champion as a player with the Patriots, bringing instant credibility to the locker room.
Elite Recruiter
Beyond his X's and O's knowledge, Klemm is regarded as one of the nation's top recruiters. During his stint at Oregon, he was instrumental in landing top-tier line talent. With Alabama already signing the No. 2 class in 2026, Klemm is expected to hit the ground running for the 2027 cycle, targeting the elite tackles that are the hallmark of championship teams.
The Mission
Klemm inherits a unit that loses veterans Parker Brailsford and Kadyn Proctor to the NFL Draft but returns talented depth pieces like transfer Nick Brooks. His job is clear: Maintain the "Joe Moore Award standard" that Alabama fans expect.
