DeMeco Ryans was a tackling machine and the heart of the Alabama defense in the mid-2000s. In the 2005 Iron Bowl, he famously led a defense that sacked Auburn's QB 11 times (though they lost the game). He was the 2005 SEC Defensive Player of the Year.
